DMEXCO 2019: Recipe for a successful digital centre of excellence for multi-market companies

Several locations, regions, countries and brands … this is the nature of many large organisations. Digital advancements in any form require however strong and homogenous IT architecture on a global level while the user experience in the local markets can be improved. Sharing is caring! To realise this, the organisation needs a team set-up that spans a clearly defined bridge between local and central decisions, roles and processes. (credit to FFW agency for support & creative).

Smart Country Convention 2018 & 2019: Contributing to making Germany a more digitalized country

Talking about digitalisation in Germany might seem like a daunting task but its fun to participate in the conference smart country convention in Berlin. 2018 I spoke about the don’ts of digitalisation from an agency perspective to encourage people working in the public sector to pick up some of the topics which start-ups and agencies take for granted. All with love and a lot of humour. 2019 I repeated the insights from DMEXCO and transformed the concept of center of excellence to municipal organisations or state organisations.

General Assembly – Digital Marketing Instructor

Do you know General Assembly? If not, you should.

Having been a student myself in 2013, I was fortunate enough to get back involved as a teacher. In this 10week course, students will learn to plan and execute a marketing campaign, acquire and engage users, and quantify a strategy’s success.

Sina was an excellent teacher! I really enjoyed this class a lot. She is so knowledgeable about digital marketing, she was prepared and kept the class engaged the entire time. I felt like I walked away with lots of new insights and information. I would definitely recommend her class to others and would attend any advanced level classes she offers.

Why Beautiful Website Design Is Simply Not Enough – Yoke

I always argue that having a beautiful website doesn’t mean that your website – or your business – will automatically be an online success. Find out which factors are equally as important when determining success. Originally written for Yoke and credit to co-author Salli Jokinen. Image Credit to Yoke.

“Design yourself digitally” – Design Institute Australia: DIAlogue AM & Inside Nights Panel Discussion

As Australia’s peak industry body for professional design, the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) represents Australian design and designers both domestically and internationally. Of course, I wasn’t going to miss the chance to promote digital to the design community. I communicated that It’s all about designing your digital self and understanding that every touchpoint, digital or physical, is the chance to create a real brand experience.

Check out the fantastic events of DIA: http://www.design.org.au/events/category/events

Next to this, bright and early, I co-lectured a breakfast class as part of DIA breakfast series.

How hot is your web design?

Published at Yoke this article has my first attempt to combine design-thinking a pure data facts. Left brain vs. right brain. Even though now a little while old, it is a good entry read for designers to start embracing data for their design strategy.
